The Lexington Police Department is committed to keeping the community and members of the news media informed about public safety issues and events involving Lexington Police.

The Public Information Office is under the command of Commander Brian Maynard and the Chief of Police. This office:

  • Writes and distributes media releases
  • Responds to media inquiries and questions from the general public
  • Maintains department webpage
  • Manages department social media accounts
