Public comment during teleconference meetings
Meetings are currently being conducted via Zoom video teleconference pursuant to Senate Bill 150.
Public comment will be a part of the Council Work Session and Council Meeting agendas.
TV schedule
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are continuing to schedule meetings in accordance with guidelines from the state. At this time, our schedule is fluid. For information about public meetings, including viewing information, refer to the City’s calendar.
Our original programming
Lexington Now – A weekly half-hour program that provides citizens a look at current and ongoing Urban County Government events, press conferences and information about projects and activities in and around Lexington and Fayette County.
Council Reports – Each councilmember is entitled to one 15-minute program produced each month. These programs are optional for the councilmembers who wish to do them.
Special programs and public service announcements – Played throughout the day to inform and educate the public about ongoing events, special programs and other items.
Accessibility
The Urban County Government is committed to providing access to customers with disabilities.
The Council Chamber has a monitor for closed captioning as well as assisted hearing listening-devices available to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. If you require a sign language interpreter, the City may be able to provide one for you. In order to accommodate this request, we generally need at least 48-hours advance notice. Contact Chris Edwards at chrise@lexingtonky.gov or (859) 258-3011 to make this request.
