Compensation and Benefits
Working at the Lexington Police Department has its benefits. The department officers professional career paths for officers with competitive compensation and benefits.
We set the standard for pay in Central Kentucky. The starting pay is $56,410 a year or $27.12 hourly while in our non-residential police academy. After graduation from the academy, the annually salary is $60,710 or $29.18 hourly.
Other benefits include:
- $500 annual uniform allowance
- $530.74 per month credit toward flexible benefits package
- $100 monthly subsidy for personal cell phone
