Suspect named in the W. Short Street homicide investigation

A suspect has been named for the homicide of 30-year-old, Raymar Webb. The 31-year-old suspect, Brandon Dockery, has warrants for Murder and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.

Dockery is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide.

On Saturday, June 19, 2021, at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers were completing an investigation in the 300 block of W. Short Street when they heard shots fired. The officers responded to W. Short Street and North Mill Street to investigate. Upon arrival they located the 30-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and succumbed to his injuries. 

He was later identified as Raymar Webb by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.

Detectives continue to investigate this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lexington Police by calling (859) 258-3600.
