Downtown Vandalism Hate Crime Arrest

One person has been arrested and charged following two incidents of vandalism and criminal mischief that occurred in the early morning hours on December 21, 2022.

On December 21, 2022, at around midnight., officers were dispatched to Crossings Lexington in the 100 block of North Limestone for vandalism. Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect near the scene.

At around 9:30 a.m., officers received another report of vandalism at The Bar Complex in the 200 block of East Main Street. During the investigation, officers determined that the suspect vandalized both The Bar Complex and Crossings Lexington.

The suspect was identified as William White, 51. White was charged with Criminal Mischief 1st degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, as well as, charges for an outstanding warrant.  He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center. Due to the nature of the vandalism, a hate/bias report was taken.
