W. High Street fatal collision

The Lexington Police Department Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on W. High Street.

At around 1:40 am Sunday, June 13, 2021, police and fire department personnel were dispatched to an injury collision near the 800 block of W. High Street.  The preliminary investigation found that a passenger vehicle was traveling west on W. High Street, left the roadway, and struck the large metal utility pole.

The 31-year-old male sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Lexington Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this crash.
