Lexington Police Officer Arrested

A Lexington Police officer has been arrested on a warrant from Estill County. 

Detective Ryan Raker was arrested on February 28, 2023, by the Kentucky State Police on a warrant issued by the Estill County Sheriff's Office and charged with Criminal Abuse 2nd Degree – Child 12 or under. 

Raker was arrested and taken to the Three Forks Regional Jail in Lee County.

Effective February 28, 2023, Detective Raker was relieved of sworn duties and transferred to an administrative assignment in accordance with department policy while the incident is under review.
