Jouett Creek Drive Burglary Investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating an overnight burglary on Jouett Creek Drive. 

On February 20, 2023, at 1:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Jouett Creek Drive. When officers arrived, they learned the suspect, a 19-year-old male, forced his way into the residence before being shot by a resident. The suspect was declared deceased at the scene. 

The Fayette County Coroner's Office will release the name of the decedent. 

At this time, all parties have been identified, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Lexington Police at (859) 258-3600.
