East New Circle Road Homicide Investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on East New Circle Road.  

At around 5:57  p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2022, officers responded to the 400 block of East New Circle Road, near the intersection of Meadow Lane, for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they located a 42-year-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The deceased victim’s name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is still ongoing.
