Price Road homicide investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide on Price Road.

On Thursday, October 29, 2021, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of Price Road and Fairdale Drive in reference to an injury accident. On arrival, officers located a black Chevrolet Impala on its side with two occupants trapped. A 19-year-old female victim had a reported non-life threatening gunshot wound and was transported by the Lexington Fire Department to a local hospital. A 17-year-old male victim, Sergio Villarados, identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, was also located in the vehicle and pronounced deceased. After further examination of the male victim a gunshot wound was located.

Detectives believe this incident began in the area of the 700 block of Breathitt Avenue.
