The Lexington Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on East Fifth Street.
At approximately 10:24 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021, officers responded to the 100-block of East Fifth Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located Pietro Swain, 28, identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, deceased in the driver’s seat of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.
