Darby Creek Road Homicide Investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in the early morning hours on Darby Creek Road.  

On November 12, 2022, at 2:03 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Darby Creek Road for shots fired. When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the street. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The suspect left before officers arrived.

The Fayette County Coroner's Office will release the victim's name.
