Delong Road homicide investigation

The Lexington Police are investigating a homicide after a person was found deceased.

On Monday, August 2, 2021, around 7:00 a.m., officers responded to Armstrong Mill Road and Delong Road for a victim suffering from a gunshot wound on the side of the street. Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was pronounced deceased by the Lexington Fire Department.

The victim’s name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
