Lancelot Lane Homicide Investigation

A homicide investigation is underway after a shot was fired in a home.

On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, around 10:32 a.m., Lexington Police responded to the 300 block of Lancelot Lane for a juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old who was declared deceased by the Lexington Fire Department.

After further investigation a 13-year-old suspect was located and placed into custody. The juvenile has been charged with Manslaughter 2nd.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has not officially identified the victim.

Detectives continue to investigate this incident and additional charges may come.
