Haggard Court Shooting and Homicide Investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a shooting and homicide in the 1000 block of Haggard Court.

At around 2:08 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022, officers responded to a call for assistance from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office for a shooting that occurred. When officers arrived, they located a male and female victim suffering from gunshots. Fayette County Sheriff Deputies rendered first aid until paramedics arrived.

The female victim was transported to a local hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries. The male victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The deceased victim’s name will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
