UPDATE: Pine Street Homicide Investigation Arrest

UPDATE: One person is in custody in connection with the homicide of Clinton Brown earlier today on Pine Street.

During the investigation, detectives identified Jamierion Allen, 19, as the suspect. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant and with the help of the Kentucky State Police, Allen was arrested.

Allen has been charged with Murder and is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred just after midnight on Pine Street. 

At 12:31 a.m. on May 5, 2023, officers were dispatched to the area of Pine Street and Jersey Street for a shooting. When they arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Investigators believe the shooting may have occurred after a large disorder. 

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Clinton Brown, 21.
