UPDATE: Rogers Road Homicide Investigation and Arrest

UPDATE: May 3, 2022 – The Lexington Police Department has charged one person with the May 2, 2022 double homicide that occurred on Rogers Road.

Nikki James, 43, has been charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Deon Williams, 13, and Skyler Williams, 5. James is the victims’ biological mother.

James is currently in custody and additional charges are pending.

UPDATE: May 3, 2022 – The Lexington Police Department is investigating a double homicide that occurred yesterday May 2, 2022 on Rogers Road.

At around 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Rogers Road in response to an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located three injured subjects. All three people were transported to a local hospital.

Two juvenile victims, aged 13 and 5, succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital.

One person has been charged with two counts of Murder. Additional charges are pending and will be released at a later time.

The victims’ names will be released by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is still ongoing.
