Winchester Road Homicide Investigation

A homicide investigation is underway after shots fired.

On Friday, April 9, 2021, around 2:37 a.m., Lexington Police responded to the 900 block of Winchester Road for a report of an assault with a weapon. Upon arrival, a 35-year-old victim was located with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he had succumbed to his injuries.  A second victim, a 24 year old, was also located at the scene with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. 

The deceased victim was identified as, Cyrus Davis, 35, by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.

Police continue to investigate this case.
