N. Upper Street homicide investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting.

Shortly after 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, police were dispatched to a call of shots fired in the 700 block of N. Upper Street. When officers arrived, a man with life-threatening injuries was located inside a vehicle.

On Friday, January 29, the 18-year-old male victim, Dominico Cloyd, was pronounced deceased by the Fayette County Coroner’s office.
