Arrest Made in Tates Creek Rd Fatal Collision

One person has been charged in connection with a fatal vehicle collision that occurred in March 2023 on Tates Creek Road near Garden Grove Walk.

On March 19, 2023, at 2:16 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Tates Creek Road and Garden Grove Walk for a single-vehicle injury collision. The preliminary investigation found that the vehicle driven by Mallory Patterson, 21, left the roadway and struck a tree, trapping the passenger underneath the vehicle. The passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene and later identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office as Jessica Patterson, 46.

Investigators with the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) continued to investigate the factors of the collision, and Mallory Patterson was indicted by a grand jury and arrested on December 21, 2023, for Manslaughter 2nd Degree, Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, and No Operators License.
