Picnic with the Pops announces $1.2 million gift to Town Branch Park

Mayor Jim Gray and Picnic with the Pops Commission President Kip Cornett announced that funds that have been accumulating in Picnic with the Pops coffers since the early 80s will be given to Town Branch Park for an amphitheater.

Lexington opens cooling centers, offers half-price admission at pools on July 4

Lexington officials to open multiple cooling centers on July 4 and offer half-price admission to all city pools and aquatic centers for the day. Emergency summer weather plan extended through July 5.

Fifth Third Bank presents Lexington’s Fourth of July Festival

Visit downtown Lexington July 3 – 4 to join the celebration. Events include pie contest, concerts, 10K and fun run, parade and fireworks.
