Community Centers

Recreation leader

  • Recreation leaders will work with the Community Center Director to develop and lead programs for the youth and adults who visit the Community Center. Programs may include but are not limited to arts and crafts, homework help, indoor/outdoor recreational activities, etc.
  • Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
  • A combination of work hours is needed between the hours of 2 – 9 p.m., depending on the community center.

Part-time/seasonal laborer

  • The position performs ground maintenance duties including, but not limited to, planting and weeding horticultural beds, mowing and string trimming turf areas, trash and debris removal in parks, cleaning public restrooms and special event support.
  • Individuals must meet the minimum requirement of being 18 years of age or older.

Therapeutic Recreation

Camp counselor

  • Working Summer Fun Camps outside at Castlewood Park, Woodland Park and Dunbar Community Center.
  • Prefer experience working with children, youth or adults with disabilities in an outdoor recreational, educational or institutional settings. 
  • Current First aid, CPR and AED certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Work hours will be between 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., depending on the camp location.
