Case Overview: On June 5, 1982 at 1:15a.m., Lexington Police responded to the 300 block of Chestnut Street for the report of a subject down. Officers located the victim, Paul Allen in the street, the apparent victim of an assault. Mr. Allen was transported to a local hospital and later released. Days later Mr. Allen was transported back to the hospital due to complications from the previous assault. While in the hospital Mr. Allen died as a result of his injuries sustained in the assault.
