Case Overview: The Lexington Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred near the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and East Fifth Street. The shooting resulted in the death of an 18-year-old Lexington man who has been identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s office as Tyler D. Williams. Officers were dispatched to the scene around 11:25 p.m., Saturday, July 1. Williams was found lying on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital where he later died.
