Unlike the previous couple of years, yard waste collections will not be suspended during winter months. Weekly yard waste collections will be made unless bad weather cancels all collections.
Take part in the Kentucky River Clean Sweep on Saturday, July 27. Volunteers are needed to collect trash from the 12 miles of the Kentucky River that border Fayette County.
The City of Lexington is partnering with the Bluegrass Regional Transfer Station to offer Fayette County residents a free trash disposal day for non-hazardous household waste. The event will be held Saturday, July 13, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Lexington’s Division of Waste Management will adjust its collection schedule for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday. No collections will be made on Thursday, July 4.
