Environmental Services

The Division of Environmental Services provides a wide range of environmentally-related services to city government and the public. These include civic beautification, community-wide sustainability initiatives, urban forestry, greenway management, mowing of corridors and county roads, enforcement of environmental ordinances, public outreach and education, and internal energy initiatives.

Chemical root control work June 13 – June 18

As part of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s infrastructure program, chemical foam is being injected into the sanitary sewer system to control and inhibit root growth within the system.
