The Division of Engineering oversees the design and construction of capital infrastructure projects, ensures new development is compliant with the community’s standards, and manages permitting within the public right-of-way.
PLEASE NOTE: In response to COVID-19 and the CDC’s recommendations, until further we will no longer accept in-person payments effective Monday, March 23, 2020. Land Disturbance Permit payments can be done by credit card online. Checks and money orders can be mailed to the address below. Checks, money orders, and cash payments can be deposited at the LexServ drop box in front of 200 East Main St. Payments deposited in the LexServ dropbox need to include the purpose of the payment and applicant contact information. No permits will be issued until payment has been received.

The road had been expected to reopen on Friday, June 10.
The bridge on Clemens Drive near Old Higbee Mill Road has been reopened to traffic. The bridge had been closed to allow crews to make necessary repairs after the state determined that the bridge had suffered structural wear and tear.
Truck-a-Palooza, the city’s annual touch-a-truck event, will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, between 1 and 4 p.m. at 1631 Old Frankfort Pike. This event is open to all ages and is free to the public.
