In addition to good working conditions and competitive pay, the city provides a combination of core and supplemental benefits to all eligible employees. Each benefit has been carefully designed to meet the needs of our diverse employee population. LFUCG provides flex credits, tobacco credits and supplements to off-set our employees’ cost of LFUCG health insurance premiums. Unused flex credits can be used for other pre-tax benefits, including but not limited to Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). And employees who elect an HSA Medical Plan receive LFUCG contributions to their Health Savings Accounts that can be used to cover current and future medical expenses.
The next few pages contain a brief outline of some health and wellness benefits the city provides employees and their families. While the city intends to maintain these employee benefits, it reserves the absolute right to modify, amend, or terminate these benefits at any time and for any reason.
