City celebrates ‘A Chorus Line’ with The LEXington Theatre Company

Mayor Jim Gray today celebrated The LEXington Theatre Company’s fourth season during rehearsals for A Chorus Line, which opens later this week at the Lexington Opera House.

Lexington Public Works Skills Academy offers free commercial driver’s license training

The City is offering a free Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-B) training program. The Public Works Skills Academy internship program will offer paid training during an 8-week period through a partnership with the Kentucky Career Center-Bluegrass. There is a limit of six positions.

God’s Pantry helps citizens replace food lost in power outage

God’s Pantry and the City are reaching out to residents who may need help restocking the fridge after the power outage. People can stock up on God’s Pantry’s fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and snacks at three locations (Valley Park, Woodhill Community Center and Douglass Park) beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23.
