Repairs will close parts of Rose and Vine streets on Monday

Inbound Rose Street between Vine Street and High Street will be closed Monday, January 9, starting at 3 a.m. Traffic will be detoured onto High Street toward Limestone.

Motorists on Vine will be able to continue through the intersection, turn right onto Rose (toward UK) or turn left toward Main Street. Traffic will be slower moving through this intersection, however. The right two lanes of Vine at Rose will also be closed.

Work is expected to be completed by 3 p.m.

The closure is necessary to repair a recent storm sewer collapse resulting from a water line break.
