Part of Manchester Street closed for construction

Construction related to Town Branch Park will close a small section of Manchester Street near the Central Bank Center on Monday, Dec. 11. This closure will last through spring of 2024. Manchester Street from Oliver Lewis Way through the Distillery District will be unaffected by this closure.

The right turn onto Manchester Street from High Street, which is currently restricted, will reopen to allow access the Central Bank Center Level 3 loading dock. The closure starting Dec. 11 will prevent access to Manchester Street past the loading dock. Oliver Lewis Way may be used to reach the Central Bank Center Level 1 parking garage and Ty Court.

This construction is part of a project to improve access to the future site of Town Branch Park. Work along West High and Manchester streets will improve pedestrian access and safety as well as construct a pedestrian entry into Town Branch Park.
