Drop-off locations

Lexington offers two drop-off recycling options. Blue mixed recycling bins are for aluminum and tin cans, plastic bottles and jugs, glass bottles and jars and dry cardboard. Yellow paper recycling bins are for office paper, paper mail, newspaper, magazines and catalogs. Shredded paper cannot go in these containers; hold shredded paper for the next Paper Shred event. Not all items with a recycle symbol are recyclable in Lexington, and contamination can harm equipment and place Recycle Center employees at risk. Materials should be loose, not bagged.
