30 Day Comment Period - Justice Assistance Grant

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) recently received notification of available funding in the amount of $151,750 from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) for formula funding authorized through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Formula Program (42 U.S.C. 3751(a)). The award is based on a formula using population and Part 1 Violent Crime statistics. The following information is provided in accordance with application requirements. Public comments and questions should be emailed to JusticeAssistance@lexingtonky.gov. The deadline for submitting any comments on this allocation is 4 p.m. on September 2, 2018.

City seeks contractors for housing rehabilitation programs

The City is seeking general contractors to participate in housing rehabilitation programs for homeowners who need assistance in bringing their houses up to code or making other needed improvements.

Request for Comments - Environmental Notice

On or about June 25, 2018 the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government will request the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to release federal HOME Investment Partnerships funds under the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 for the Leestown VA Housing Project. All interested agencies, groups and persons disagreeing with this decision are invited to submit written comments for consideration by LFUCG to the Division of Community Development. Such written comments should be received at 200 E. Main Street, 6th Floor, Lexington, KY 40507, on or before June 25, 2018.  All comments will be considered and LFUCG will not request the release of federal funds or take any administrative action on the proposed project prior to June 25, 2018.
