Public Hearing – Consolidated Plan

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government announces that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the second floor of the Government Center at 200 E. Main St., Lexington, KY 40507.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to obtain citizen comments on the housing and community development needs of Lexington-Fayette County for the development of the Consolidated Plan for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2024. The 2024 Consolidated Plan will contain a one-year action plan that addresses decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents and will serve as the application for funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, the HOME Investment Partnerships program, and the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program.

Information provided at the public hearing includes a summary of the history of these programs in this community and the range of activities that may be undertaken through the CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs. Estimates of the amount of funds the government expects to receive for the period July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, will also be provided.
