Youth cheerleading

Cheerleading leagues are for boys and girls ages 5 – 11. Participant’s age as of Aug. 1, 2021, determines eligibility.

Teams may be formed as mixed-age squads or group by age-dependent on the number of participants. Teams cheer at home and away games for football teams from their home park and are invited to perform in an end-of-season showcase.

Participants in this league learn the fundamental skills and techniques of cheerleading. Our youth cheerleading league is established in core values of:

Parks & Recreation is offering early bird pricing. Now through July 15, 2021, registration is half-price.

$22.50 per participant, uniform cost not included

After July 16, 2021
$45 per participant, uniform not included

A limited number of scholarships are available.

Completed forms, with payment, should be returned to the Dunbar Community Center (545 N. Upper St.) or the Picadome Administrative Offices (469 Parkway Dr.). If mailing form, do not send cash, check only. 

Season

The cheerleading season is seven games followed by a post-season tournament. 

Games are scheduled weekly on:

  • Saturdays at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Sundays at 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
