The Black & Williams Center Board of Directors coordinates the management and activities of the Center with the Recreation Supervisor under the supervision of the Commissioner of Housing Advocacy & Community Development.
The purpose and duties of the Board of Directors are to identify the needs for services for the neighborhood, make recommendations to the Commissioner of Social Services, review and approve placement of agencies to provide services in the Center, assist with personnel evaluation of the Recreation Supervisor (AKA Center Director), evaluate agency lease agreements and program effectiveness, set goals, and assist with recommendations for the budget of the Center.
