The Vacant Property Review Commission identifies properties are eligible to be classified as abandoned urban property once per year.
To be eligible for this list, properties must have a building that has been vacant for at least one year, and meet one of the following criteria.
- Building cannot be used as intended (condemned, boarded up, open, no utilities, etc.)
- Property has accumulated trash and debris.
- Property has become infested with animals or other pests
Property owners have a right to appeal this determination after they have received an official notice from the Vacant Property Review Commission.
**PLEASE NOTE: The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and the Vacant Property Review Commission DO NOT OWN any of the properties on the vacant property list.
