Electronic monitoring and early release

Electronic monitoring

Electronic monitoring provides a population management alternative to the institution. It provides an alternative sanction to the courts by implementing a home incarceration program. Its purpose is to protect public safety. It also supervises those eligible offenders who pose a minimal risk to the community. The Electronic Monitoring program accomplishes this through the use of high-tech electronic monitoring equipment.

The Day Reporting program

The Day Reporting program is an early release alternative to incarceration. It focuses on supervising eligible offenders. The program also provides help to those who pose a small risk to the community. It intends to lower recidivism rates. It also provides an alternative to incarceration for low-risk offenders. These offenders may need some intensive supervision. The Day Reporting program has partnerships with other organizations and agencies in Lexington to do this.
