Updates coming to Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center

Renovations creating additional space will soon begin at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center.

“This expansion will allow us to showcase the great talent of our diverse arts and entertainment community, while increasing the opportunities for more creative projects to flourish,” Mayor Linda Gorton said.

Once the renovations are complete, the Center, 141 E. Main St., will feature a multipurpose event and performance space well suited for gatherings and events of all types. Two new event spaces will be developed that will be perfect for parties, performances, receptions, and celebrations.

There will also be a separate space that will be known as the Maker’s Space – a place where artists can create artwork and conduct educational workshops.

“We here at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center could not be more thrilled to have this expansion about to begin,” said Celeste Lewis, manager of the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center. “I’ve always thought Lexington had far more than its share of talented artists in every aspect of the arts. We look forward to being able to serve residents, visitors and our creative community with more art, theatre, music, and dance. In addition, we will have much needed space to serve as a perfect venue for events, like receptions, parties, seminars, and workshops. It’s going to be fantastic!”

The renovation is scheduled to begin in November, with completion set for fall 2024.
