Arboretum Advisory Board

Established UK/LFUCG Agreement

Membership Guidelines and Governing Documents

The Mission of The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky, is to showcase Kentucky landscapes and serve as a resource for environmental and horticultural education, research and conservation.

The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky, is a partnership between UK and LFUCG. The University sustains the 100-acre tract of land it owns as an arboretum for use by faculty, staff, students and the general public. LFUCG desires that the residents of Fayette County and visitors to the area also have the use and benefit of The Arboretum as a public facility.

The Arboretum was designated the State Botanical Garden of Kentucky in 2000 (KRS 2.097). As a public garden, arboretum and botanical garden, we are proud to draw visitors from across the Commonwealth and beyond.
