Upcoming sanitary sewer construction in Locust Avenue area

Parts of Griffin Alley, McCloy Alley and Jordan Ave. will be closed beginning on Monday, Nov. 6, for sanitary sewer replacement as part of the Meadows/Northland/Arlington Project.

Griffin Alley from Highlawn Ave. to McCloy Alley, McCloy Alley from Bluegrass Ave. to Jordan Ave., and Jordan Ave. from Locust Ave. to Bryan Ave. will be closed to through traffic for several months. At that point, construction will move to Locust Ave. and continue through 2024.

This work is part of the Meadows/Northland/Arlington Project to improve neighborhood infrastructure in the areas around Bluegrass and Highlawn Avenues. The project includes the construction of curbs, gutters and sidewalks, street reconstruction, storm sewer improvements and sanitary sewer replacement.
