Part of South Mill to be closed for sanitary sewer work

South Mill Street will be temporarily closed to traffic between High Street and Maxwell Street starting on Tuesday, May 28 for sanitary sewer construction. The roadway is expected to reopen by early fall.

To detour around the closure, drivers traveling north on South Mill Street can use West Maxwell Street and South Limestone, and drivers traveling south can use West High Street and South Broadway. Homes and parking lots in the area, as well as the driveway to Old School Coffee, will remain accessible during construction.

This project will replace an existing sewer line that often requires additional maintenance due to its age.
