Partners for Youth announces 2023 SYJTP Career Fair

Partners for Youth will host a career fair for the 2023 Summer Youth Job Training Program (SYJTP) on Saturday, April 8 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the University of Kentucky Gatton Student Center’s Harris Ballroom. Students interested in participating in the SYJTP this summer are encouraged to attend.

Youth will have 45 minutes to talk with worksite personnel, fill out their applications and select their top five career choices. Registration will close once capacity is reached. Visit the Partners for Youth website for more information on the program.

SYJTP provides workforce training opportunities for 300 Lexington youth who are rising 10th, 11th and 12th-grade high school students by teaming with Lexington’s business and community-based partners. Youth workers will work part-time, up to 20 hours per week and earn $15 per hour. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government pays all youth workers’ salaries.
