The Mayor’s Neighborhood Summit provides an opportunity for discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing neighborhoods and our city as a whole. Mayor’s Neighborhood Summits were introduced by Mayor Linda Gorton in June 2019.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and public health guidelines, the most recent Mayor's Neighborhood Summit was held virtually. The virtual three-day series took place November 17 – 19, with topics that included Lexington’s Public Works and Infrastructure, Mayor’s Commission for Racial Justice & Equality and COVID-19 in Fayette County.
Each day of the Mayor's Virtual Neighborhood Summit focused on one of these specific topics. There was a one-hour panel discussions regarding the topic, and pre-submitted questions were answered.
Each day's session was aired live on LexTV (Spectrum channel 185, MetroNet channel 3, Windstream channel 3 and 20), and live streamed at lexingtonky.gov/lextv.
The public was able to submit questions to be addressed during these panel discussions.
