How to pay later with ACH

After completing the return, you will have the option to pay at that time or pay later via ACH.  Any payment made later must be sent via ACH by the return’s due date.

If you choose to file and pay later via ACH, please call Keela Jackson at (859) 280-8326 or email the Division of Revenue at for banking information. You will be asked to provide your LFUCG business account number.

Tips for setting up ACH payments

Have your bank use the correct format

To help us identify your electronic payment and apply it properly, please instruct your bank to send payments in a standard National Automated Clearinghouse Association (NACHA) format.

Include your taxpayer identification number and return date

Without proper payment identification, your payment application can be delayed. Each electronic payment record for payroll tax payments should contain the taxpayer identification number period/return date.

Please include your taxpayer identification number period/return date with the payment as:

  • The Individual Identification Number in each entry detail record
  • Or as the Payment Related Information in the addenda record if your bank offers that method

Avoid penalties and interest: submit by the due date

Any payment made via ACH is required to be received in LFUCG’s bank by the due date.  If payment is not received by the due date then it will be considered late and will be subject to penalties and interest.
