May 18, 2024, 10 – 11 a.m.
Join Outdoor Programs staff in collaboration with Coach Blake of LEF Climbing to explore the vertical world of rock climbing with the boulder features at Northeastern Park. Bouldering is a form of rock climbing that does not include the use of a rope or harness. This session is open to participants between the ages of 7 and 12.
The safety equipment used in this program is crash pads, which are designed to provide more cushion than the ground when climbers fall or finish their climb. A limited number of climbing shoes are available for participants to wear, but climbers may choose to wear their own closed-toed shoes if they wish.
Bring water and snacks for personal comfort, and dress in activewear for the weather. The program will be canceled in the event of rain and/or thunderstorms. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
