Pace in Parks: Week 9 – Kirklevington Park

Pace in Parks is back! Join Parks & Recreation staff on a 10-week "couch to 10K" training program leading up to the Bluegrass 10,000, a 6.2-mile foot or wheelchair race on Monday, July 4. The only requirements are a suggested ability to be able to walk for 60 minutes non-stop. The training program will lead runners to a successful completion of the Bluegrass 10,000. All levels of runners are welcome to join.

The run club will meet every Saturday morning at a new park to run/walk the encouraged distance according to a 10-week training program. There will be route suggestions for beginners and advanced runners. A Lexington Parks and Recreation staff member will be present to take roll, answer questions and be your guide for the workout. Meet fellow runners in the area to help build a community around our 47-year-old race! The club is free and open to the public. Stay tuned for exciting announcements, special guests, and giveaways.
