Computer Services supports the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government through hardware, networking, applications and the Help Desk.
The hardware support team provides support services for all personal systems throughout city government. Our staff of certified and experienced technicians maintains, builds, upgrades, repairs and recycles these computers.
The network support team serves city government by integrating computer systems, telephone support, negotiating and managing information technology related contracts, and technology assistance and support.
The applications team provides software development, software support and database maintenance for programs used within city government. The team also assists in the selection, purchase, deployment and maintenance of third-party software solutions.
The Help Desk provides support to city employees. The team uses best practices by being a customer friendly single point of contact for employees who need tech help.
Geographic Information Services
The GIS office maintains all geographic data, supports GIS applications, and provides mapping services to the City and the public at large.
