Waste Management will pick up carcasses of small animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits, squirrels and rats. We will not pick up the carcasses of large animals such as cows, horses or sheep.
All items should be placed in a garbage bag on the curb. Waste Management is not allowed to enter private property to pick up dead animals. Once the dead animal is on the curb, please contact LexCall at 311 or (859) 425-2255 or online and request a pickup.
Motorists who wish to report dead animals on the roadway, regardless of size should contact LexCall.
The division will also pick up carcasses of small animals (listed above) from offices of veterinarians in the urban service area, for a fee of $45 per pick up, maximum of five animals per pick up. Offices of veterinarians should contact LexCall to schedule a pick up.
