Members of boards and commissions

Special Notice

Dear Members of City Boards and Commissions,

I have suspended the meetings of virtually all City boards and commissions in light of the COVID-19 virus.

I am following federal and state recommendations. I have also recommended that non-governmental boards suspend their meetings.

Three exceptions are the Planning Commission, Police and Fire Pension Board, and our Civil Service Commission. These groups will continue to meet, but will follow social distancing recommendations.

We sincerely appreciate your service to Lexington, and thank you for your patience as we take steps to protect our community.

If you have questions, please contact Melissa McCartt-Smyth in my Office at We will be in touch with you as information changes.

Linda Gorton, Mayor
